Various Stuff

Ahh yes, breaking the “rules of blogging” by posting a bunch of pointless dribble under a generic title. I love it!
I have to throw these up for my sister Laura, since she “donated” (dumped) my cat Madison on me and now always asks how she’s doing -
Mads favorite hangout -

Spring time brings new interests -

Note, the gecko has colored it’s pigment completely black, which basically means, “I’m pissed.” When Geckos get pissed, they bite, which is why Madison is a good two feet away.
Getting bored -

(The gecko was not bored however, and made a quick exit under the door later on when Madison wasn’t looking.)
On a related note, my sis and I are planning a little trip through Europe next month. She’s headed to Lisbon for a genetics talk and made the suggestion that we should hook up for a road trip across Portugal. That sounded pretty good to me, I haven’t been in Europe since 99. I’m really looking forward to the trip. After a week+ she’ll be diving nose first into genetics and I’ll be headed over through Spain, France and up to Amsterdam. Can’t wait!
GData C# Library

While I won’t be using GData in connection with Google Calendar, I have to say kudos to Google for releasing what looks to be a really nice stand-alone Atom feed parsing library written in C#. It’s similar to Microsoft’s C# RSS Platform api’s, only it’s oriented toward Atom and seems tied closely to Google data services like Google Calendar and Google Base. They also released the source, very cool, under the Apache License. Thanks Google!
